Boulevards
Boulevards is the intersection of online magazines such
as Salon and Feed with alternative print rags such as
the Village Voice and L.A. Weekly. It does a great job
of linking stories for an audience who cared more about
the disappearance of New Press editor Joe Wood Jr. than
that of JFK Jr. |

Café
Utneis
A real online "salon," where thoughtful intellects can
converge and converse. |

Disinformation
There's a bit of the anarchist in all of us, and Disinformation
is the most well produced, if not safest, way to indulge
it. Police State explores oppression with articles on
bar codes and Christian Nazis. The Infinity Factory is
an off-center RealVideo show with guest authors and porn
stars. If such names as Timothy Leary, Howard Bloom, and
Noam Chomsky don't mean anything to you, the site's profiles
and links can enlighten you. |

Slashdot
Unabashedly heralding itself as "news for
nerds," Slashdot covers events considered important by
folks who know Wine as a software tool, not a beverage.
If you are passionate about whether PPC will become the
preferred Linux platform, you can find a coterie of like-minded
geeks in the discussion threads that accompany each story. |
